Automation System Installer
Job Description:
The Automated System Installer is responsible for the installation and termination of control components. This includes a conduit, sensors, controllers, enclosures, sensor cable, and data transmission cable. You’ll also be responsible for the basic configuration and commissioning of controllers, which may require the use of computer-based service tools and software.
Required Skills:
- Able to install 1/2 ” to 2″ EMT, PVC, IMC, Conduits.
- Ability to install electrical panels and circuit breakers (distribution panels).
- Possesses the basic knowledge of the mechanical system.
- Possesses knowledge of basic electrical material.
- Possesses knowledge of basic control wire and misc. material, i.e. bridal rings, J-hooks, etc…
- Continuously displays a high level of installation quality.
- Installation of Fiber Optic cables and cisco switches//routers as well as RS-485 and CAT 5 communication cables.
- Skilled at reading diagrams, schematics, engineering specifications, and blueprints.
Responsibilities:
- Install computer networks such as local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), the Internet, intranets, and other data communications systems.
- Install server hardware and software infrastructure.
- Set up user accounts and passwords.
- Monitor network usage and security.
- Manage email, spam, and virus protection.
- Ensure networks are running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and restore systems after crashes.
- Retrieve forgotten passwords.
- Undertake routine preventative measures and implement, maintain and monitor network security.
- Supervise help desk technicians.
- Ensure systems comply with industry standards.
- Keep internal networks running smoothly.
- Support administration of servers and server clusters.
- Manage the system back up.
- Restore protocol.
- Document network problems.
- Support network and computing infrastructure.
- Install and maintain network services, equipment, and various devices.
- Oversee software security.
